There’s nothing like clean makeup brushes! Your makeup glides on so much easier and there’s no need to stress over bacteria. Personally I don’t waste my money on expensive brush cleaner. I make my own.
To clean your brushes on a daily basis:
Mix equal parts water and alcohol in a spray bottle.
Spray brushes after use and wipe gently on a washcloth.
Once a month:
Deep clean your brushes with your favorite shampoo and tepid water. I use Davines Melu shampoo, I love the way it smells and makes my bristles shine.
Fill your bathroom sink 1/4 of the way and mix in a few drops of shampoo.
Swirl the brushes around a bit to loosen the makeup deep inside.
I allow my brushes to soak for about 15-30 minutes.
Drain the water and rinse each brush with cool water.
